One of our UPRISE movement-makers in Freetown, the capital city of Sierra Leone, emailed today to share that his Catholic generosity commitment has inspired him to regularly volunteer at the Pademba Road Male Correctional Prison. This gentleman is truly offering the 5th Work of Mercy: Visit the Imprisoned.

He writes: “We go into the prison from Monday to Friday to counseling them, feed them, play games with them, give them paste, tooth brush, give them clean water to drink, wash and also supply them slippers, clothes and give them medical treatment. I have also told the prisoners about the UPRISE movement, and many of them were happy to hear about the UPRISE movement and said after their prison term they would be interested in joining the UPRISE movement because they like the idea about the movement.”

God bless you, God bless the Don Bosco Fambul - and their commitment to serving those in significant need to know the hope, light, and love of Jesus Christ!
