Comforting Sorrowful Father & Son

The 11th Work of Mercy…

One of our UPRISE movement-makers called to talk about his aching heart they are currently experiencing as a Father, given the anger and disappointment of his young adult son who had returned home for a visit after a half year of missionary work in the church…the young man’s own search for his individual identity and values clashed dramatically with what he remembers from how is Father raised him.

This indeed is a difficult time in the life of these two family members - but as we know confidently today on Good Shepherd Sunday, Jesus, and His inexhaustible love and mercy, and the compassion of Our Lady the Undoer of Knots, we pray a Novena with the listening hear of the Blessed Mother Mary, for healing, God’s peaceful silence for their mutual humility and forgiveness, and for the continued maturation of the young adult son who will come to see and realize that his Father loves him and has always tried the very best he could to be the Father the son needed.

In Jesus’s name we pray, Amen.
